CATAGEN’S Dr Andrew Woods was shortlisted as a finalist for Ireland’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2023 and was awarded with the Sustainability Award.
The EY Entrepreneur of the Year Sustainability Award acknowledges the crucial role of innovative leadership in addressing our collective sustainability challenges. It is presented to the finalist who makes the most substantial contribution to environmental sustainability through their business efforts. These individuals strive to protect our future by providing solutions and implementing transformative business actions to tackle some of the world’s most pressing environmental issues and concerns.
CATAGEN’s mission is to clean and decarbonise the air and this commitment originates from the visionary leadership of Dr Andrew Woods. Founded by Dr Andrew Woods in 2011, CATAGEN are a pioneering emissions testing facility based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, providing unrivalled metrics to optimise catalyst development and reduce harmful tailpipe emissions.
Our expertise in the mobility sector and global emissions standards and our relentless pursuit of our mission to decarbonise the air led us to develop our ClimaHtech technologies. ClimaHtech is an acceleration system towards decarbonisation using advanced climate technologies and includes Green Hydrogen (not an electrolyser) and Bio-hydrogen Generators, E-fuel production, Hydrogen Compression and Carbon Capture. CATAGEN’s cutting-edge net zero technologies are shaping our net zero future by decarbonising difficult sectors such as mobility, marine, aviation, heavy duty and agriculture and helping them meet 2050 targets.
