CATAGEN’s CEO, Dr Andrew Woods, has been shortlisted as a finalist for Ireland’s EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2023. This recognition reflects the entrepreneurial spirit that drives CATAGEN’s mission to pioneer Net Zero technology.
The EY Entrepreneur of The Year™ program celebrates entrepreneurs across the island of Ireland making a positive impact on society. Dr Andrew Woods is one of 24 tech founders shortlisted for this prestigious award, which was curated from over 150 nominations by an independent panel of previous winners.
The CATAGEN team is focused on its goal: to clean and decarbonise the air. This unwavering commitment finds its roots in the visionary leadership of Dr Andrew Woods.

In just over a year, CATAGEN has witnessed an impressive twofold increase in its workforce. During this time, the company has been working on developing ClimaHtech – pioneering new Net Zero technologies aimed at curbing emissions in difficult-to-decarbonise industries. ClimaHtech is a suite of Net Zero technology, including renewable hydrogen, biohydrogen, e-fuels, hydrogen compression and carbon capture.
