ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Ralph Lavery, Net Zero Applications Engineer at CATAGEN.

My role focuses on exploring and developing business models and commercial applications for the new technologies.

I am focussed on engaging with potential collaborators and customers ensuring the technology can meet their demands and help them to decarbonise their operations.

What is it like working at CATAGEN? 

Working at CATAGEN is equal parts rewarding and challenging. The team here are supportive and want everyone to succeed both individually and as a team.

The focus and emphasis on collaborative problem solving and a positive working culture makes it a very easy place to work and somewhere I want to contribute and invest myself in.

What was the last programme/ box set you watched on TV?

Rings of Power/ House of the Dragon – I love fantasy stories, the Hobbit was the first ‘grown up’ book I read and I was hooked from the first page.

Name two things you love:

Rugby – I’ve been playing, coaching and/or refereeing for 20 years this year and it has always been an important part of my mental and physical health.

Pizza – which as a lactose intolerant person is very much a love/hate relationship

Name two things you really dislike:

Incivility – ‘manners cost nothing’ is a family motto

 

What are you looking forward to this year? 

My partner and I are currently buying our first home and we’re very excited/stressed about it!

I’m incredibly excited to see our Net Zero Technology projects develop as we continue to work towards our purpose to clean and decarbonise the air.
