Belfast, Northern Ireland – October 2025:
CATAGEN Green Emissions Testing (G.E.T.), a global leader in catalyst aging without an engine and aftertreatment testing, has announced plans to expand into North America following a year of record global growth and a highly successful presence at the Automotive Testing Expo in Novi, Michigan.

CATAGEN’s participation in the show marked a pivotal moment for the company as it showcased its patented OMEGA Reactor, a recirculating synthetic gas reactor that enables catalyst aging without an engine, delivering exceptional accuracy, reduced testing costs, and up to 98% lower CO₂ emissions compared to conventional engine methods.

The CATAGEN Green Emissions Testing team welcomed strong interest from automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and industry partners throughout the three-day event. A full schedule of meetings and new relationships developed during the show, helping CATAGEN successfully establish its foothold in the North American market, advancing its mission to deliver sustainable emissions testing closer to its customers.

“The Automotive Testing Expo was a great success for the CATAGEN Green Emissions Testing team,” said Dr. Kurtis Irwin, VP of Global Catalysis. “We had the opportunity to meet many of our existing partners face-to-face and engage with new OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers who share our vision for sustainable catalyst testing. This momentum confirms the growing need for local OMEGA Reactor capability in North America.”

A Year of Breakthrough Achievements

The company’s North American expansion follows a landmark year of global milestones, including:

  • Launching the world’s first DAAAC (Diesel Accelerated Aftertreatment Aging Cycle) reactor, now operational with its first commercial customer.

  • Delivering record revenue growth driven by strong demand for accurate, repeatable, and sustainable aftertreatment testing services.

  • Being named Catalyst Aging Partner for Ducati and LeoVince, supporting emissions compliance for next-generation motorcycle platforms.

  • Securing new customers across the automotive, heavy-duty, motorcycle, and industrial sectors.

  • Recognition in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500, highlighting CATAGEN as one of EMEA’s fastest-growing and most innovative technology companies.

Expanding into North America

To date, CATAGEN (G.E.T) has partnered with over 50 global customers, including several North American OEMs, helping them accelerate the development of efficient, compliant powertrains. Currently, catalysts from these partners are shipped to CATAGEN’s European testing facility.

With the growing regional demand, CATAGEN is currently exploring collaborations with North American service providers to enable local catalyst aging and aftertreatment testing in the future, reducing lead times and logistics costs for OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

The company’s patented OMEGA e-reactor enables catalyst aging without an engine, providing fast, accurate, and repeatable aftertreatment validation with up to 98% energy efficiency gains and 30% cost savings compared to traditional methods

As regulations such as EPA 2027, CARB emissions standards, and future greenhouse gas (GHG) rules tighten across passenger, heavy-duty, off-road, and industrial sectors, OEMs face growing pressure to validate aftertreatment systems quickly, cost-effectively, and sustainably.

Through the expansion of CATAGEN’s Green Emissions Testing services, U.S. OEMs can reduce time-to-market for new vehicle programs, ensure compliance with evolving emissions standards, and lower both environmental impact and operational costs.

“This is a defining moment for CATAGEN, bringing our technology into one of the most important automotive testing markets in the world,” said Dr. Kurtis Irwin, VP, CATAGEN Green Emissions Testing. “We’re proud to support U.S. OEMs with sustainable, high-performance aging capabilities that help them meet upcoming EPA and CARB targets.”

“Our customers need speed, accuracy, and cost control,” said Dr. Kurtis Irwin, VP of Global Catalysis. “By establishing testing capability in North America, we’ll reduce lead times, cut logistics costs, and give OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers the high-quality data they need faster.”
