ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Dr Andrew Pedlow, Principal Engineer at CATAGEN.

I primarily work in our development projects with new and existing customers, but work across the board within our catalyst ageing department.

I’ve always loved maths and science and putting them into practical application. We should never be afraid to ask the question, why?

What is your favourite thing about working at CATAGEN?

Probably the team, we have a really good team that consistently rises to meet every challenge. There’s a real camaraderie that extends past mere working relationships.

Which of the benefits that CATAGEN offer are your favourite?

Private healthcare, it’s reassuring to know that should the worst happen that there’s help available.

Name three #hashtags that describe CATAGEN

 #Innovation

 #Decarbonisation

 #Accuracy

What was the last programme/ box set you watched on TV?

We just finished “the Rookie”, starring Nathan Fillion, which has managed to convert my wife to police dramas.

Name two things you love:

Rock Climbing – I love bouldering, I’m terrible at it, but for me it’s the best stress relief.

Sports – especially rugby! I had a season ticket at Ulster Rugby for years, and Six Nations time is one of my favourite times of the year!

Name two things you really dislike:

Clothes shopping – if I need something, its in grab something and out again.

Filling in forms, I think it’s a valid phobia!

What are you looking forward to this year?

Work Related – I’m looking forward to working with new customers to assist with their aftertreatment needs.

Personal – I’m looking forward to being groomsman at my friend’s wedding this summer

If you were not an engineer, what would you be?

I’d probably work with the church. While working at CATAGEN I’ve completed a theology degree part-time and my faith is the most important thing in my life!
