Advanced Catalyst Development.

Now in
North America.

CATAGEN Green Emissions Testing and Roush are bringing advanced, engine-free catalyst development capability to North America.

The Alliance marks the beginning of a multi-year transatlantic agreement, bringing CATAGEN Green Emissions Testing’s Belfast-developed technology closer to North American customers through Roush’s engineering and testing capabilities.

As part of the agreement, CATAGEN’s internationally patented OMEGA Reactors will be installed at Roush’s Livonia, Michigan facility. The technology enables fast, clean, and highly controlled catalyst aging without an engine, delivering faster testing, improved cost-efficiency, and significant CO₂ reduction compared to conventional engine-based methods

We are happy to be working with CATAGEN to introduce the OMEGA Reactor to our suite of development and testing services. This collaboration expands our capabilities and provides customers with access to advanced catalyst development solutions aligned with the industry’s shift toward cleaner, more efficient technologies.

Matt Van Benschoten

VP of Advanced Engineering , Roush

This Alliance represents a significant step in our global growth and in cementing CATAGEN Green Emissions Testing’s position as a global leader in catalyst aging. North America is a critical market for that journey, and Roush’s engineering expertise, customer relationships and strong position within the automotive sector make them an ideal fit as we establish our capability in the region. Together, we can bring faster, more flexible and more cost-effective catalyst development to OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, while reducing reliance on conventional fossil-fuel-based testing methods.

POWERED BY CATAGEN
OMEGA E-REACTOR TECHNOLOGY

CATAGEN’s OMEGA Technology is a proprietary, electrically driven reactor platform that replicates real-world catalyst and aftertreatment conditions without a full engine or vehicle system.

It enables accelerated ageing with high control and repeatability, reducing test cost, programme time and CO₂ emissions while delivering engine-representative, regulator-relevant results.

What this means for OEMs:

– Faster screening and development decisions
– Consistent conditions for reliable comparison
– Reduced carbon footprint of testing programmes

FREQUENTLY
ASKED QUESTIONS

How can US customers access this capability?

US customers can access CATAGEN OMEGA e-reactor technology through Roush’s engineering and testing delivery in Michigan. Speak to the CATAGEN + ROUSH team to explore how engine-free catalyst development capability can support your programme.

Is CATAGEN OMEGA technology available through other additional partnerships?

CATAGEN is open to selected strategic partnership discussions with organisations interested in bringing engine-free catalyst ageing capability to new markets, facilities or customer offerings.

What is the difference between catalyst ageing and catalyst development?

Catalyst ageing refers to testing and durability processes used to understand catalyst performance over time. Catalyst development is the broader customer programme this supports. CATAGEN’s technology enables engine-free ageing and testing as part of Roush’s wider advanced catalyst development programmes.

What makes CATAGEN OMEGA technology different?

What happens after I submit an enquiry?

The CATAGEN and ROUSH teams will review your requirements and direct your enquiry to the appropriate route: US-based testing through ROUSH or a partnership discussion with CATAGEN.
