ABOUT ME
Hello, I’m Andrew Shannon, Senior Engineer at CATAGEN.
I work with CATAGEN’s ClimaHtech Net Zero technologies, researching new and innovative ways to create and handle renewable energy sources.
I was inspired by my uncle who is an engineer and I always thought I would do it too, when I found out I couldn’t be an astronaut because I wear glasses!
What does your average working day look like?
There isn’t an average day, it varies so massively, from designing new machines to creating biohydrogen to building carbon capture pilot plants to developing techno-economic models, every day is different.
What is your favourite thing about working at CATAGEN?
The people I work with are wonderful and passionate about their jobs, it is awesome to be able to work with a great team to develop hopefully world-changing technologies.
