Dr Matthew Elliot
Senior Technical Specialist

Matthew is the Principal Technologist at CATAGEN, having joined the Company in 2018. He is primarily responsible for the development of technology for aftertreatment system testing and analysis. Matthew has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast.

Dr Kurtis Irwin
Principal Engineer

Kurtis is an experienced Principal Engineer specialising in aftertreatment systems and catalysis, with a demonstrated history of working in the automotive industry. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) focused in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University Belfast. Awarded Innovate UK Future Leaders Fellowship.

Professor Roy Douglas
CTO & Co-Founder of CATAGEN

Roy is Professor Emeritus of IC Engines Technology in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Queen’s University, Belfast. He has over 40 years of experience in the areas of engine research and development, systems modelling and automotive after-treatment. For the past 25 years, his research has concentrated on improving the performance of automotive after-treatment systems, working with world leading automotive OEMs.
